Steve and his wife Lori came to Lakewood in May of 2016. Steve and Lori have been married for over 25 years and are the proud parents of two adult daughters. Steve’s desire is to preach, teach, and model God’s Word in such a way that draws people closer to Christ, and to help them apply God’s Word in every aspect of their lives. Steve has served as pastor in multiple churches throughout Georgia and he and Lori are pleased to be in the Northport/Tuscaloosa area. Steve is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary.

Wade Hamner is thrilled to be on-staff full time here at Lakewood. He has almost 40 years of music history including group and solo singing, and leading Worship in many churches locally. He fell head-over-heels for his wife Shellye at a college fellowship and he is still smitten over 30 years later. They have 3 grown, beautiful daughters, Cherish, Cherub Grace, and Chamberlain, who are all involved in music, ministry and teaching young people.

Bryant is a retired teacher and principal from the Tuscaloosa County School System. He currently teaches science and Bible at Tuscaloosa Christian School.  His pride and joy is his son, Zachary, who also sings and plays several instruments. Over the years, Bryant has directed a number of children, youth and adult choirs and has also played the piano for several Gospel groups including The McKameys.  Bryant and Wade have been together in music ministry since 1982.
